Qoder Sites goes online: Release web applications in one sentence, Alibaba fills in the last mile of AI website building
The track of AI website building has become more and more popular recently. OpenAI has ChatGPT Sites, Codex has @Sites plug-in, and now Alibaba Qoder has also put its own answer on the table——Qoder Sites, in a word, make and distribute web applications.

Qoder itself is an intelligent agent workbench launched by Alibaba with Coding as the core. The Sites function launched this time fills the last mile from "generating code" to "direct online".
Build a website in one sentence, how to use it
The entrance is very straightforward: select "Sites" in the left column and click to add a site. Qoder will open a new task and automatically reference it in the input box @sites. Next you have two paths:
Route 1: Start with a template
There is a template panel above the input box, which is divided into six categories according to purpose:Landing pages, portfolios, blogs and content, data dashboards, internal tools and more. Choose a similar one, such as the business data dashboard in "Data Dashboard" or the focus workbench in "Internal Tools". The template prompt words will be filled in the input box. You can just change the name, content, and style before sending.
Route 2: Directly describe the needs
If you have clear ideas, speak up. The official example is very illustrative of the writing method - making a progress board for regular project meetings:
The top shows the total number of tasks, the number completed, the number in progress, and the number overdue. Below are the tasks to be started, in progress and completed, including the person responsible, priority and deadline. Supports filtering by person in charge and status, click on a task to view details. First use the sample data, adopt a simple light color design, and adapt to computers and mobile phones. Generate a preview first and won’t publish it yet.
To put it bluntly, putWho uses it, what problems are solved, what information is displayed, and what operations can be performedJust make it clear and that's enough. Have task lists, weekly reports, and design references on hand, and directly attach files to explain what content to use.
The real trump card: sites with Agent capabilities
This is what I think is most worth mentioning. What Qoder Sites does is not a "static web page generator", it allows sites to call Qoder Cloud Agents Agent service - once the visitor operates, tasks will be run in the background.
What can you do? Process data, access data online, generate text or images, and generate page content in real time. The output can also be saved in the site's database and storage. There is no need to connect the model yourself or maintain the backend.
The official example is a sales data analysis site: visitors upload a monthly sales form, click "Start Analysis", and Qoder Cloud Agents calculates trends, compares month-on-month comparisons, identifies abnormal items, and outputs conclusions and charts; the results are displayed on the page and stored in the database at the same time, and the history records can be viewed next time you open it.
In a word, this is to embed the Agent into the web page and deploy full hosting.
Draft revision experience: being able to point at the screen and curse
Preview after generating. Click the website product card in the reply to open it in the site panel on the right. You can click buttons, filters, and links directly.
There are two ways to make changes, both of which are very convenient:
- dialogue change: Directly say "Put overdue tasks at the top of the list and mark the deadline in eye-catching colors" "Increase the project completion rate at the top and update the statistics synchronously after filtering"
- mark change: Click "Annotation" at the top of the site panel, then click the element you want to change, and enter the requirements (such as "Change this card to display the number of overdue tasks"). The annotation will be attached to the task input box as a web page comment. Confirm and send.
The second one is particularly friendly to non-technical users - no need to describe "the third card in the upper left corner", just refer to it.

Publishing and permission control
After the site is completed, release the version first and then set who can access it.New sites are accessible only to you by default, see the effect yourself first, this default value is very safe.
Personal versionThree visibility ranges are supported:
- Accessible only to yourself: A work board for your own use, or a version that is not ready to be shared.
- Accessible only to invited users: Show project progress or functional prototypes to designated users
- Anyone can access: Product introduction or function demonstration that is open to the public (you need to click "Allow public access" to confirm, and non-logged in visitors can also open it)
Enterprise Edition (Teams, Enterprise)The site only supports sharing within the organization, replacing "accessible by anyone" with "accessible by organization members", making it suitable for use as a project portal or internal tool.
Invited visits require the other party to log in with an authorized Qoder account——Forwarding a link by itself does not increase access, this is quite rigorously designed. Also, site access and editing permissions are two different things.
No need to worry about subsequent maintenance
- Update online site: The progress of the project has changed. Open the site from the left column, return to the original task through "More → Locate Session", attach a new task list for Qoder to update, check the new preview and click Publish to update the online version.
- Change name and address: Site → More → Settings → General, you can change the site name and address prefix
- Visit statistics: More → Visit statistics, see the number of visits, unique visitors, number of visits per capita and trends
- Pause instead of delete: If the project is over but you want to keep the content, you can pause it in Settings → Publishing and Access. The content will still be retained and can be restored at any time.
- Delete completely: Settings → Deleting the site will permanently remove the site and access rights and cannot be revoked.
How does it compare to similar products?
The method of "building a website in one sentence" will already be standard among major manufacturers in 2026. OpenAI's ChatGPT Sites will be open to public beta in July, and Codex's @Sites plug-in will be "generated and online" earlier, supporting environment variables, D1 databases, and R2 object storage.
Qoder Sites differentiates itself by:It grows in a Coding platform. Qoder itself has a complete set of contextual engineering and code retrieval capabilities (officially said it can retrieve 100,000 code files at a time), which means that the site you create is not a "toy demo", but a product that can be connected to real project code and real data. Coupled with Cloud Agents and built-in database/storage, it givesComplete closed loop from idea to production environment.
What a reminder
- Agent takes time to run: Before publishing, be sure to run a complete analysis task in the preview to confirm that the results are correct and saved.
- Local storage does not automatically sync: The data stored locally in the browser will not be automatically synchronized to other users when the site is released - it needs to be shared by multiple people using the site's database.
- Three things to check before publishing: Content, links, interactions, confirm that they are suitable for sharing to target users and then release permissions
- Enterprise user attention strategy: The enterprise version site can only be shared within the organization, don’t expect to use it as an external official website.

Why it's worth paying attention to
"AI website building" has been called for more than a year. The real difficulty is not generating pages, butMake the page come alive and have people visit it. Everyone can generate HTML. The difficult part is where the data comes from, who runs the logic, how to manage permissions, and how to change it after it goes online.
Qoder Sites puts these four things into one dialog box: Cloud Agents handle logic, built-in database handles data, visibility scope handles permissions, and session location handles iterations. For small and medium-sized teams and internal tool scenarios, this combination is very cost-effective - an internal dashboard used to require scheduling, development, and operation and maintenance, but now it can be done in an afternoon.
Of course, no matter how powerful the tool is, the prerequisite is that the requirements are clearly described. Its input threshold is "speaking in human language", which is both an advantage and a test.
From writing code to going online directly, the last mile of AI website building is being solved.
